about me

My name is Rachel. First and foremost, I am a child of God, failing and hopeful. I am the beloved of ‘Ratchet’ who is mostly referred to as Sweetie. I have an amazing family full of siblings, nieces, nephews, a Des-mom (I hate the word step when referring to family), wonderful in-laws, a kitty Tigger, and a gaggle of queer people.

I love God and food, in that order. I have worked in either churches or restaurants all of my adult life, and find that the link between the two worlds is much smaller than most people would assume.

I blog here and at [not] dead to me (formerly known as The Swandive). I live in Minneapolis, MN, one of the greatest places on earth (no, I am not kidding).
